For Parents of Children Who Have Experienced Sexual Abuse
When your child has been sexually abused, life can feel overwhelming. Many parents find themselves carrying intense emotions. They are carrying fear, guilt, anger, and grief, while also trying to stay strong for their child and navigate systems like CPS, schools, medical provider, and law enforcement.
This 10-week trauma-informed group is designed to support parents and caregivers, not children. The focus is on your healing, so you can show up with steadiness, clarity, and confidence for your child.
In this group, parents will:
Learn how trauma affects children and families
Understand and manage their own emotional responses
Build skills for supporting their child without pressure or traumatization
Learn trauma-informed ways to respond to behaviors, triggers, and questions
Gain tools for navigating systems and advocating for their child
Reduce isolation by connecting with other parents who truly understand
This group integrates psychoeducation, emotional support, and practical coping tools in a structured, safe, and contained format. Sharing is always voluntary, and graphic details are not discussed.
This is not a place to relive trauma.
It is a place to restore safety, strength, and hope, one step at a time.
